The archetypal images that make up the Tarot Deck of Women's Archetypes have been drawn from the well of the collective unconscious where they reside. While some designs are based on classical and Eastern mythologies, most are drawn from the artist's own personal visions. They are all inspired by and infused with love~ by faith in love and its inherent power to transform all of our lives~to open and heal our minds and hearts~to reveal our true selves at the center.

The 67 images that make up the Bloodstar Series presented themselves to the artist within a very brief period of time as a string of epiphanies. Each original pastel drawing measures approximately 2 1/4" X 4" and all are saturated with the suggestive symbolism that has always been characteristic of this artist's work. After making films for 13 years, artist and filmmaker Susie Klein took some time working towards encapsulating her animated stories in the still and single frame. Each of the 67 drawings in this series are chapters within an epic book­ each parts of a whole yet complete stories unto themselves. The thread that weaves them together is a theme of transcendence and metamorphosis through love and the connection to the self.
